The Llamas

Our 4 llamas are Leah and her male cria Ramses, and Ice and her male cria Suede. Leah came to live with us in June of 2006. She was carrying Ramses at the time and he was born on the morning of June 22, 2006. Leah & Ramses are exceedingly friendly to the point of getting in the way when we try and do anything in their paddock or barn. They love to give kisses and have a good snuffle at any visitors that stop by the paddock. Ice and Suede are more reticent and tend to stand back and watch from a distance.

The Goats

Roe is a Pygora goat born spring of 2005. Pygora's are half pygmy and half angora goat. Roe's coat sheds every spring and she does not require shearing despite her wooly appearance. Lambchop or "Baa" is Roe's baby as well, born March of 2008. He was bottlefed as Roe had mastitis and could not care for him. You can't miss him as he is always somewhere underfoot baa'ing at you. Also born on the farm are LittleBug and Rowena, both born fall of 2008.

The Potbellied Pigs

Kiki - born spring 2003     Baconbits - born spring 2006     Samson - born spring 2002
Kiki came to us already three years old, she was once a house pig who needed a new home. She is very friendly and extremely food oriented. Baconbits was purchased as a wee piglet, only eight weeks old. He has been a hoot to watch grow up and remains a very sociable pig. Samson came to live here spring of 2009.

Sunday the Alpaca

A new face to the farm as of fall of 2008, Sunday isn't quite as social as the other camelids but he has a fuzzy comical endearing quality about him anyway. We believe he was born in 2005.

The sheep!

Belinda was a bottle baby that we bought from a friend in the fall of 2006. She is a Katahdin/Blackbelly cross and remains very friendly, especially if you have a handful of grass for her. Finney is a Finnish sheep and came to live at the farm in spring of 2009. She was born spring of 2007.

Mr.B the miniature horse

Mr.B came to live at Waddles'n'Wags on April 1st 2006. He was born in 2004 and is a registered miniature horse standing 30" tall. Horses are measured at the withers, the point where their mane ends. Mr.B comes with a big long name but we think "Bee" suits him just fine.

The Emu

There are currently 5 emu living at the farm; Ernie & Extra were hatched in spring of 2008, Emily, Elf & Elvira were hatched spring of 2009. Ernie & Extra are very friendly, for emus, and will come to the fence and let you pat them. A word of caution, emus love "shiny stuff" and will peck curiously at anything that glints or shines.

Turkeys

Salt (black and white) is a Royal Palm turkey and was hatched in spring of 2008. Dumb is a Ridley bronze turkey and she was hatched in spring of 2009.
